Shadelight prefers to keep to himself, it doesn’t make him cool, shy or rude, he is actually rather respectful and an honest character. But if spoken to he can hold up a conversation and if asked a question he will answer but he if there’s no point for words he simply stays quiet. He had always been the oddball when he was a kit because of his liking to keep to himself. In a way he feels as if no one really understands him. And by all means he’s completely fine with that. Shadelight isn’t one initiate a fight or an argument but if he is drawn into one he can get nasty. He isn’t afraid to let you know how he feels and will honestly let you know if he doesn’t agree with your ideas or theories. Shadelight is a simple cat, he doesn’t complain and admires the little things. He is deeply loyal and respectful to those older than him, the warrior code and clan that he was raised in. Shadelight isn’t one to underestimate, at times he is never noticed, which can be a big mistake as he does have his abilities and isn’t afraid to use them.

Description:

Shadelight is a unique looking tom and is one to easily distinguish as well as describe amongst other warriors. He is a completely jet-black feline with absolutely no other markings or discolouration’s, making this tom the most ideal hunter of the night. He is of average height and built of any other typical Shadowclan warrior. However, his coal black paws and his slender long tail are uniquely larger than most. His pelt is sleek and glossy, which at times almost glimmers in the dense undergrowth as the moon shines down below. The only feature that stands out on his night-black pelt is his stunning pale almost violet eyes. They are such a pale blue but visually are astounding when the moon reflects them in the night.

History:

Shadelight grew up as the oddball, the unpopular one. Only because he used to stutter, he had big feet, and a small body. He grew up without a father, without any siblings and he never really had any friends because everyone thought he was ‘weird.’ His mother was always pushing him to go and talk to the other kits but their constant tormenting , calling him “stuttering Shadelight, stuttering Shadelight!” and making fun of his abnormal body turned him completely off of making any friends. They made him feel as if he was different and not normal. His mother always found a way to make him feel special but the day she died from greencough all motivation from her faded away. They never even gave him a chance or the time of day. His mentor, an elderly yet still strong warrior, Jaggedtooth, felt sympathy for the young apprentice and took him on as his last before he retired. Shadelight’s apprenticeship took slightly longer than most but in the end it had all been worthwhile. Jaggedtooth in a way was very much like Shadelight. He had big paws and his very name followed down to his past, when he was a kit he had been made fun of. But he never let that stopped him, Jaggedtooth became a skilled and well-admired warrior through hard work and determination. He was very valued to Shadowclan, and this motivated Shadelight to do the same. Jaggedtooth worked on the young cats stutter, which soon began to fade away over time as his inner confidence and self-esteem rose. Now all SHadelight needs to do is prove that he is worthy of being in Shadowclan and that is exactly what he intends to do.
