A white she-cat covered in patches of golden orange and black sat next to the quick moving river. Goldenmist hummed to herself as he eyes danced, watching the water rush past her. She hummed a tune she remembered from her mother. Some parts were vague and unfinished, but she knew the chorus by heart. She wasn't expecting company or for anyone to be around at the time. From her knowlegde most cats would be out hunting or in their dens at this time. It was about mid-day and it would have been rather warm if not for the cool breeze.
As she sat beneath a shaded tree on a nice piece of green grass she swayed lightly. A slight breeze ruffled her fur and she smiled, mid-hum before continuing. She was lost in her own little world, but she enjoyed being alone at times. Even as crazy as she acted, she still liked the silence, with the company of the swift moving river.

Sapphire eyes peered up at the trees, branches swaying in the wind , a crooked smile appeared several centimeters below them. The slight breeze ruffled grey tipped ears, chilling the thin blood vessels inside. The ears gave an involuntary twitch, caused by the need to warm them. The warm sun was shining down through the tree's, making Timestreak's black pelt incredibly visible. The tom tilted his head at an odd angle, flashing a Cheshire grin. He was listening; for what, he didn't quite know. The strange tom had no where to be, nothing to do. His grey paws simply lead him aimlessly. His soft nose effortlessly picked up the scents of his surroundings.
As he realized his paws were leading him in the direction of the river, Timestreak smiled in glee. The river happened to be one of his favorite places, at least for the moment it was. The sound of the river was calming to him, driving away the paranoia that constantly accompanied him. Time didn't trust others, believed them to have hidden motives, secrets. Every cat had at least one secret did they not? This kind of thinking drove the poor tom to near insanity. A scowl formed on his maw, these thoughts always troubled him. They had since before he could remember. Timestreak was paranoid almost to a crippling extent. Yet the mysterious tom was excellent and hiding his emotions. His face was a blank mask that revealed nothing. Always the excellent actor, he enjoyed the show, the confusion it caused the fellow members of his clan. The tom grinned wickedly, continuing to stalk toward the river.
Timestreak's ears immediately perked up, for they had caught the sound of singing, well humming more like. The sounds of the river were to be expected, humming, not so much. The tom titled his head, slightly confused. Who else would be at the river? It was unusual for sure, considering most cats would likely be elsewhere. With a deep breath Time decided to investigate, his lithe form glided closer. The tom could smell her long before the she-cats form was visible. Relieved that she her scent was indeed riverclan he continued to crawl forward. When he spotted her orange and black pelt from behind, he wondered if this was rude, sneaking up on her as he was. The mischievous tom quickly shrugged it off, padding within tail-lengths of her.
"Greetings, my dear." Time purred, ever the charmer. The she-cat was in the shade, very relaxed, and The black tom padded to where he would now be visible to her. Tis, a fine day, is it not? He flashed his signature Cheshire grin at her, his blue eyes gleaming.

Goldenmist had taken to closing her eyes as the breeze ran through her fur. Her humming was a bit louder as if competing with the rushing river, but it wasn't necessary to do so. A bit of sunlight shown on her fur and sent a shred of warmth through her. Her song was already warming enough however. She smiled, the song bring wonderful memories of her mother and when they used to play when she as just a kit. It warmed her from the inside out, as she didn't mind the bite from the breeze.
The sound of someone approaching and a voice called out making her jump. She recognized the voice but it was still a shock to see him standing there when she turned around to face him. She felt her heart pounding until she still it and regained her composure. He was indeed from riverclan, making her relax further. "H...hello..." She mewed lightly, still a bit puffed up from the spook, "Yes, it's rather beautiful..." She said after a moment as she sat back down. She wracked her brain a moment as she tried to remember the cat's name, she knew she had seen him before, even if at a distance. She couldn't help but color at the cheeks as she realized he was grinning at her. Her eyes met his and she had to look away, a cat could drown in those eyes.
Goldenmist's tail twitched a moment before rested on top of her paws. "I'm.. uhmm.. Goldenmist. I don't think we've met before, but I do remember you from the clan." She sent him a sideways look, not trying to be rude but she was afraid of staring. There was a certain air(sp?) about this tom, she was certain it could not be good. Dangerous even.. perhaps she will just be polite and move on. Though she was there first she really should get back to the clan to see if her aprentice was about. A second part of her wanted to stay and chat, however.. she just wasn't certain if that would be a good idea or not.

Timestreak watched with a strange pleasure as the startled she-cat leaped up, immediately ceasing her humming. His grin grew even wider and he chuckled to himself, chest heaving in silent laughter. He hadn't necessarily meant to surprise her, yet wasn't displeased with himself for doing just that. It was entertaining to him at the least. Though he had hoped to be alone, the beautiful she-cat was a welcome addition. Timestreak had definitely caught her off guard, he was already at an advantage in this game. His ears twitched in pleasure.
As the tom was able to get a better look at the she-cat, he recognized her as one of his fellow warriors, Goldenmist. Time didn't know much about her, but she seemed like a nice enough cat. He watched her sit back down, and followed suit, settling on his haunches. "Indeed," he purred "Quite beautiful". The she-cat's amber eyes met his sapphire ones for a second before looking away, Timestreak smirked in pleasure, knowing that most cats couldn't resist his strange allure. His soft black nose scented the blood rushing into her cheeks, and his heart beat a little faster in his chest.
The weather actually was very nice, despite the cool breeze, and the sound of the rushing river calmed him. Timestreak was in his element, content, in control, perfect at his part. This he could deal with. Socializing with this one cat, came naturally, considering he was at ease. His mania kept at bay for the moment. It would bring pleasure to him, give him something to do on this uneventful day. His paws kneaded the ground beneath him, planning his next move.
As Goldenmist introduced herself, time focused on the sound of her voice instead of the words. The tom wasn't interested in who she was, it was knowledge he already possessed. Her voice was like velvet, it matched the humming he had heard earlier. It was soft on the ears, delightful. Deciding to grant her a reply, he mewed softly "Timestreak. Pleased to meet you." The tom nearly cackled as she gave him his sidelong glance. Waking up this morning Time had not expected an event so entertaining as this. I suppose I shall apologize for sneaking up on you the way I did, my intention was not to scare you Goldenmist. Please accept my sincere apologies. Despite his tone of condolence, the smile on his maw was teasing, sapphire orbs gleamed with a strange dangerous light.

Goldenmist looked back at the river and tried to concentrate on the sounds of the river instead of the male's smooth yet tempting voice. How had she never encountered this male before? They were from the same clan, surely they had been on a patrol together or something? She shook her head mentally, certainly not, she would remember his pelt, and his smell. SHe closed her eyes breifly as she subtly scented the air. The tom smelled wonderful. Don't even get her started on his eyes... the dark aqua color pleased her to no extent. They reminded her of the river that sat before them. Her tail twitched nervously, she suddenly felt a bit out of place sitting next to the tom.
Once he spoke his mewed his name she had to look over at him, his voice was pulling her in. Her eyes met his once more and this time she didn't shy away. She knew it was rude to stare, but Goldenmist was drawn in by them. She couldn't pull away, everything about him was screaming perfect... but dangerous. Prying her eyes away from his once again she turned her head, trying to hide the blush that had only grew in size, she was certain ever her ears were blushing now. Trying to flick the embarasment away she heard his silky voice once more.
Turning back to him her eyes were a bit wide, "Oh..no.. really it's alright. I wasn't really expecting anyone else to be around, but.. it's nice to have someone else to talk to sometimes." She sent him a smile as her blush was lessening. She had to calm herself down, she couldn't lose her composure over a silly tom cat. "There's no need to appologise, but I do accept it. I'm glad to hear your you have manners, and are willing to go far enough to be polite to a silly she-cat that ou just met. No less spooked, but it's fine... really." She shut her mouth and ducked her head, there was that silly rambling she did. She was a bit nervous around him once more, she wondered why that was. What was this cat really about? Was he as dangerous as her insides were screaming? Or was she simply overreacting?

The handsome tom smirked again, holding the stare as she looked into his eyes. It was always the eyes that got them. Drew them in, trapped them, refused to let them go. The deep sapphire dancing with mystery and enchantment, they had no equal when it came to enticement. For all any cat knew they could be precious gems themselves, charmed to seduce any creature that looked at them. Those very eyes took in Goldenmist, quickly absorbed her appeareance with hardly a movement. Then the spell was broken as she looked away again, and Timestreak shifted his eyes as well. He knew it was rude to stare and he was acting the charmer right now, it would not do to upset the delicate balance already in place His eyes were not the only weapon in his arsenal, and the tom was determined to win this battle yet.
He tucked in his front paws , letting his chest fall smoothly to the ground in one lithe movement. His dark blue orbs took in the color of her pelt. It was then he remembered that he had always like calicos. The orange, black, white, was always a gorgeous combination. Although the pelt his retinas were taking in was an awful lot like hers. Time couldn’t suppress the shiver along his spine as old memories suddenly haunted him. He hated when they refused to leave him alone. For half a second his mask came away, his face full of the pain, still fresh, aching. Despite how long ago it had all happened, over and done with now, for the best. Yet it was still affecting him, plaguing him. The betrayal, hurt, broken trust.
Timestreak squeezed his eyes shut, restoring his deceitful artists mask before exposing them to the world again. According to all appearances the tom was cool, collected, though his insides were panicking slightly as he heard the she-cats voice directed towards him. Letting his body relax, he listened, determining what to say next. He wouldn’t let his paranoia get to him, for he refused to lose this game. His calm, charming manner returned, and the tom concluded a response to Goldenmist was safe.
“Yes, sometimes company can be nice.” Time smiled sweetly at the warrior, titling his head slightly. She had been nice enough to accept his apology after all. It was nice to be listened to for a change, and to in turn listen, the she-cats voice was beautiful. Goldenmist could have been insulting him and the tom would simply be happy just to listen to her voice. “ I thank you my kind dear, for accepting my apology. I rejoice to hear that you are still well. To be completely honest I find nothing silly about you in the least. Although you are quite a pleasure to look at” The tom rose to his paw’s bowing slightly to the she-cat, though he didn’t lower his orbs to the ground, instead he kept them trained on her.

Goldenmist watched him for a moment, her eyes caught each movement he made. It seemed this cat was skilled in making large movements without much sound. Before she knew it the tom was laying next to her, and she hardly heard him move. He was graceful to no extent, it was almost dazzeling just to watch him move about. You would think a large tom like him or any large tom in general would make some noise when they moved about. Then again she recalled that even he snuck up on her and spooked her as she did not hear him coming. That could have been a bad situation if he had been from one of the other clans, or worse off a loner intent on killing. She surpressed a shiver that ran the length of her pelt. The thought was really putting her on edge at the moment but she had to hide that fact as she would worry the tom, and as of right now the tom seemed to be content with her in his prescene.. so why ruin the moment?
As her eyes drifted to the river they stayed there for a moment. She could at least hear the slight rise and fall of the tom's shoulders next to her as he breathed. She felt somewhat contented sitting next to him, even if it was a bit akward. She hardly knew the tom and yet just being within a few feet of him she was drawn to him. His eyes especially, deeper than any river she had seen, the very thought of seeing through them was impossible. She would drown before she even started, and she for one loved the water. She wondered briefly if he really enjoyed her being there, if he was just being nice to her because she was there... or if in fact he just wanted her gone. Then again she could be wrong, perhaps he didn't mind the company, no matter who they were.
As he spoke her gaze moved back to him, so he didn't mind her being there, she found this as somewhat of a relief to hear. She shook her head slowly dismissing the thought of him thanking her for accepting his appology, she wasn't the sort of cat to hold a grudge, plus he had only spooked her. The kits had done that countless times before. Sure she was a bit frightened considering she was out in the territory and not back at the camp, but still it was no big deal once she learned he was safe. Well as safe as being a clanmate. That didn't truely make him safe, but she was willing to place her life in his hands as a clanmate if need be. Then again she would like to place her cheek on his shoulder, but who was she kidding, that was certain to never happen. She felt embarassed just thinking the thought.
She felt her checks burn for a moment as he said she was not silly and was pleasurable to look at. A warm sensation started to burn inside of her, sending a shiver through her pelt. The statement took her back a bit as she never expected the tom to say something of the sort to her. "I..I..uhm... thanks.." She squeaked and had to look away, she hadn't seen that coming in the least. Should she come back with something about him? Surely that would be a bad idea, once she started she wouldn't be able to stop, she knew this well. As she peeked back at the tom she realized he was bowing at her, but his eyes never left her. As if something snapped in her she sat ridged, for a moment, "Your...uhm... not so bad yourself." She said lightly as a light purr escaped her, she didn't even realize it until it was out.

A part of Timestreak knew that he was winning this elaborate game. Goldenmist was entrancted by him. The ever observant tom had picked that knowledge up pretty quickly. His sensitive ears could hear her heart beating, a little irregularly. He knew all too well how to make the ladies swoon. It was simple after so much practice, and though he didn’t necessarily seek it out, that didn’t mean the strange tom didn’t enjoy it from time to time. And this, he was reveling in, something this enjoyable had been a long time in coming. He was determined to get the most out of it his clever twisted mind could.
Time’s soft black nose twitched slightly, and he could smell the blood forming the she-cats blush. If he had been a little closer he would guess that he could sense the heat too. He was still in a bow, head lower than hers, sapphire spheres taking in her, mouth slightly open, her heavenly scent on his tongue. Slowly coming out of it and leveling his body once again, the tom gave her a crooked smile. It was a smile that could have very well belonged to a crazed cat.
Thin soft ears heard Goldenmist stumble over her words. She had not expected the compliment from him, though at least she had appreciated it. Even enough to try to thank him, her mews seemed to have a little trouble coming out. Timestreak turned his head to the side, his stomach expanding with a small laugh that was barely audible. The tom listened in amusement, a cherish grin plastered on his maw. He chuckled slightly at her comment. “Not so bad, eh? My darling.” It wasn’t possible for him to be anything but satisfied at the purr that escaped from between her teeth.
“Well that’s a welcome relief, if I may say so myself”
Grey paws stepped closer to the calico she-cat. The tom couldn’t help but lash his tail back and forth in excitement. At the moment it almost looked as if Goldenmist might be his prey. Of course his intentions were much kinder than that. Timestreak had always been the perfect gentlecat, despite his quirks. In a flowing movement the tom waltzed past her, flicking the end of his tail on her delicate nose. . ”It would be a real shame if you found me unattractive, don’t you think?” His blue eyes danced with glee as he turned toward her again. Taunting, his eyes didn’t meet hers this time, instead his ear brushed her shoulder lightly. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

The she-cat felt her purr vibrate within her, and even as she realized she had let the purr loose she had no reason to stop it. In fact she was pretty certain that her purr grew a bit louder with each moment. Soon it sounded much like a normal purr, loud and obvious. Her cheeks were colored but she found her eyes were trained on the tom next to her once more. Her heart was thumping rather widely in her chest. If the tom didn't notice any of this then he had to have been dense, still did she want him to notice? She certainly didn't stop herself or hide anything this time. In a sense she was making everything much louder and more pronounced. She was falling fast for this crazy tom, even if he was indeed crazy. He had done enough to win her over and it had only been... well a little while. He had her wrapped around his paw without doing so much as looking at her with those beautiful eyes of his.
A momsnt later the tom righted himself from his bow that had made her uneasy to begin with, but perhaps the she-cat could get used to that sort of behavior from this tom. He spoke and she closed her eyes to his voice as it twirled around her, music to her ears. A pleasured look crossed her face, but soon she reopened them as he spoke of it being a relief. She blinked once, had he thought she wouldn't think he was wonderful to look at? Had he noot looked in the river in a while? The tom was gorgeous, for a tom of course. A tom worth of only the best she-cat. He had to have known that much? She felt a whisper of doubt wrap around her mind. Her purr slowed and eventually ended. Only the best? Right of course... Goldenmist was average at best, she didn't deserve this handsome tom standing before her. She felt her blush ebb away slowly. This tom was too good to be true, he only deserved a female worthy of sharing his beautiful self with the world.
Her thoughts wandered but she was brought back to the present moment when she felt a light touch to her nose. She snapped out of her thoughts in an instant, her eyes widening as they took in the length of the tom in front of her, so close that he had touched her with the tip of his tail. Instantly her eyes softened, her thoughts pushed to the back of her mind. This tom could be playing with her, but at that moment she was his target, and the thought of that pleased her to no extent. He spoke once more, his voice wrapped around her, making her melt a bit inside. She could feel her paws growing weak. She was quite certain that if he so much as touched her once more she would melt into a puddle at his feet.
And there it was.. her eyes watched him, but instead of meeting his eyes he padded around her, his ear gave her shoulder the lightest touch, but it was all she needed to send her over the edge. She swayed slightly before her paws gave way and she stumbled. She found herself on the ground next, her eyes finding him, her breath caught in her throat. This tom was far more dangerous than dshe could have ever imagined. If just a touch could do this much... then what would a lick do to her? She shrddered at the thought but she was oddly intrigued.

The ebony and grey tom closed his eyes for a moment, breathing in her scent. Though he wouldn’t let her see it, the male cat was happy, content. Perhaps it was just the sounds of the river, which had never failed to calm him, drive away the crazy inside his head. Or maybe it was the company of Goldenmist. Yes it had been easy to capture her attention, draw her in. Of course that had always been the case with the alluring mysterious tom. It seemed that no one could resist the spell he cast. Deep down he knew he was dangerous, unpredictable, paranoid, not right in the head. Did that mean he wasn’t meant to be loved? Ever have a chance at a normal life? With a mate and kits? Was it too much to ask? The sickness in his head, it meant he couldn’t have that? Was love always meant to be fleeting for him? Like so many times before. He had been hurt, betrayed, by the ones he thought loved him. That was the point of the mask he wore on his emotions, so others couldn’t see the pain….
Squeezing his eyes shut even tighter, he tried to keep away the memories that were bombarding him. Another calico, another place, another time. A name, that would always haunt him… the one that had destroyed him. She had won the game, left the handsome tom bleeding, broken. Driven paranoia to the extreme, planted the whispering voices in his head. The ones no one knew about. Made it more than difficult to ever trust any cat. She had been his demise. It was thanks to her that Timestreak might not ever have the chance at love again.
Time took a small breath, struggling not to come undone. He refused to let his mask slip, no he would not break down, it would be a disaster if Goldenmist was to see him for what he really was. The tom did not want to appear weak. The only choice was to keep up the deception. That he could do, play the part of the suitor, the gentlecat, forgot about his past. Act like nothing was wrong, he was a master at that, always had been. His survival depended on it. It was his lot in life, the only thing he knew, so therefore he excelled at it.
The tom liked the she-cat, didn’t want her to go away. It was different with her here, no paranoia, he even felt like he might be able to trust her. He would never forgive himself if he drove her away. Suddenly he heard a small thud, and realized his ear wasn’t touching Goldenmist’s fur anymore. His eyes snapped open, revealing nothing of the turmoil inside his head. Turning his skull in the direction of the she-cat he was confused to find she was on the ground. She hadn’t given him a response and now she was on the ground. Timestreak’s mouth gaped open slightly, not sure what had just happened.
“ Uh, Goldenmist? Are you okay? What exactly happened? Did I do that?” His mew had a hint of panic in it. The last thing he wanted was to hurt the girl. The tom examined her quickly, running his sapphire orbs over her. She seemed unhurt. Had he really done that to her? With just a touch? His jaw clenched in anxiety. “ I’m so sorry!” He yowled. The toms tail lashed back and forth and his body was tense, panic in his eyes. Timestreak stepped closer to her, looking down and trying to form words. “ I didn’t mean to… are you hurt?”

Goldenmist was on the ground for longer than she cared to mention. The tom didn't seem to notice that she had fallen by just his touch alone. It was a scary thing to think about, losing herself at a light brush of his ear. She really had fallen, fallen hard for that matter. Fallen hard enough to lose her footing around him. She was very embarased, but as she watched him continue walking along without noticing she couldn't help but notice his mind was elsewhere. She dismissed the thought however. If the tom was trying to charm her, which he really didnt have to try, but if he was, he wouldn't have taken his eyes off of her. Correct? Unless there was something she was missing within this whole mess of things, but again she dismissed the thought. Instead she turned her full atention to him, her eyes took in each step he made. They swept over his body, the body that had won her over. She knew the day would come when she fell in love with a tom cat, but she never expected herself to fall this hard. It seemed hard enough that the ground she had fallen on had tried to snap her out of it. It had all happened so fast that it made no difference. She was striken but the heavely creature that stood before her.
Still the tom was unaware of her being on the ground, she felt like a puddle of mush, it was sad to think that she could have tried to get up on her own, but she knew she would just fall right back down. She waited, and sure enough the tom opened it's beautiful eyes and noticed that she wasn't by his side any longer. In fact she was on the ground, looking disheveled and very embarassed. However, his reaction to seeing her on the ground threw her. He was sorry? Sorry for what? Sure he had made her legs buckle beneath her, but he hadn't hurt her in the least bit. Was this tom really alright? She took a moment to compose her thoughts before finiding his worried eyes.
"Timestreak, you didn't hurt me. You silly tom, I collapsed under your..." She couldn't finish her sentence as she looked away her cheeks colored to the endth degree. She wondered why he was so worried though. Did he thin he struck out at her when he wasn't looking or something? What really was going on with this tom? She found herself really curious to know after that moment. Perhaps it was nothing, but perhaps it was something, she made it her goal to find out. "Co...could you.. uhmm.. help me up maybe? I really don't think my paws will hold me up right now." She met his eyes once more, "Stop looking so concerned, Timestreak. You didn't hurt me. The ground gave me a bump or two, but it wasn't your fault."
She found her tail was still obeying her and she used it to poke Timestreak's side, she tried to smile at him but she found she was more embarassed to do so. This whole situation had taken a turn for the better in some ways, but a turn for the worse in others. She had just revealed that she felt for the tom, that is if he was smart enough to piece that all together, he would know. If not, if he was still so concerned and consumed in his own thoughts then he would still be mightily confused. He sounded genuine however, perhaps the tom really didn't see what just happened. Was it just something that the she-cats did? Had a tom never really been struck by a she-cat enough to lose all use of it's paws? The thought seemed absurd, but possible.
Of course she was new to this sort of thing. Falling for a tom, the thought of bumping pelts, or giving affectionate licks, she really wasn't certain how it all worked. One thing was for certain thogh, she was about to find out all on her own. Even if Timestreak had to lead her around and teach her everything. She wondered breifly if the tom had ever had someone else he loved. The thought angered her for a brief moment before she shoved it back down, thinking about that now would just spoil the moment.

With a small furrow of his forehead, Timestreak realized he had lost his advantage. Perhaps he wasn’t as good at the game as he believed himself to be. His moment of weakness had cost him the upper hand. In the spilt second he had taken to recompose himself, Goldenmist had nearly slipped through his paws. He was still confused as to what exactly had happened. It seemed impossible that he could cause another cat to lose their footing, all with just the light brush of his ear. Was he really that alluring? Perhaps he really was too dangerous to be loved.
Now there was no other choice but make amends, fix what he had done to her. Make it right; better, even if the she-cat said she wasn’t hurt. Of course she had called him silly... Because he had expressed concern? If one showed worry did that make them silly? It was another mistake, the tom hadn’t kept his cool, panicking when he had realized what he had done without even meaning to. The moment was inopportune for sure, and it was throwing Timestreak off. He might be able to come back yet, gain the advantage once again, if the tom played his cards right.
Listening to her words it seemed as if she was unhurt, she wasn’t angry or upset at him. The handsome ebony tom sent her an apologetic smile, his eyes meeting hers. “Are you sure you aren’t hurt, my doll?” His purr was soft, as he let his head drop down to her level, giving her a sniff. There was no blood and she smelled just as wonderful as before. His nose nudged her pelt gently, suddenly wanting to make sure she was still real. Letting out his breath into her fur and inhaling through his silky nose, he felt assured once again.
Letting his skull rise up the tom flashed the she-cat a cheshire grin. “It would be my pleasure to help you up, my darling Goldenmist.” Once again the tom was in his element, helping her up wouldn’t be difficult. “It’s the least I can do, after…” Timestreak let his words trail off and padded towards her other side. He crouched down near her pushing close against her back so she would be able to use him as support. It had been such a long time since the tom had been this close to another cat physically. Not that he minded, it was a comfort to him actually. Nudging her gently with his maw he purred into her ear. “ Its okay, Goldenmist. Go on, I’m right here to support you, trust me.” [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Goldenmist was glad to see the tom composed himself almost as quick as he lost his composure. Still it was interesting to see tha the tom had so much compassion in him that he even checked her out. She laughed, light and airy as his whiskeres tickled her cheeks as he sniffed her. She could probably get used to this sort of thing, him being so close that is. ANd as he was so close she took it upon herself to give him a light sniff too. The scent was just as heavenly as the tom himself. He smelled of everything wonderful, bring her back to the best times in her life, memories encircled her mind as she thought of them. The first look at her mother and father, playing with her siblings and so many other wonderful memories. It also reminded her of her favorite thing in thsi world. The water, oh how she loved the water. It was bad enough to think that she could drown in the tom's eyes, but now even his scent was intoxicating. She was enjoying her time with him, more now than ever.
She realized that he was talking to her but only when he nudged her to find out for himself, earning him a surprised squeak from her. "Oh.. I'm.. fine really, Timestreak.. you.. shouldn't worry so much." She jumped slightly feeling his warm breath against her soft pelt, her eyes closed slightly, loving the feeling of someone being so very close to her. She didn't think there had ever been anyone this close to her before, not since she was a kit playing with her siblings. Her mother used to nudge her like that before though, but it never made her pelt shiver like it was now.
A purr returned to her and escaped through her jaw as she reopened her eyes and smiled at him, "Than..thanks." She said lightly as she waited for him to help her up. Once he was positioned she felt a chill run the length of her pelt now, it was thrilling. She eased herself up and took advantage of his kindness but resting most of her weight on him. She wanted to test him, he had proved himself worthy of stealing her heart, but would his charm extend to being the gentleman he seemed to be? When he didn't pull away she lessened her weight leaning on him and leaned away from him, tesing her paws. They seemed sore, but only from the fall she had taken. After a few moments of not falling she shifted all of her weight back. She didn't fall, a good sign, but she was certain walking would be another issue intirely so instead of moving she stayed put, her pelt was still brushing against Timestreak and she glanced over at him. A smile grazed her lips, "I really do appreciate this.. perhaps we should forget that ever happened?" A light blush rose in her cheeks, she was certain he would want to forget about it just as much as she did. It seemed to be a moment of weakness for the both of them, and forgetting about it might just be better.

As the calico she cat let out a musical laugh at his concern, Time felt his smile deepen and the tips of his ears warm. He knew then that it really was her keeping the voices inside his head quiet. Her very presence kept the paranoia and insanity at bay. Just that small laugh calmed the usual turmoil inside his head. Goldenmist was in a very vulnerable position, still the proper and gentlemanly part of him demanded nothing less than he help the she-cat up. It was only acceptable that the tom do exactly that. Though she said it wasn’t his fault, the dark colored tom was smart enough to know it was.
While helping her to her feet, Timestreak’s body pressed close to the she-cat, the tom’s mind started spinning. Here, now, in this moment, he was happier than he had been in ages. He loved the feel of Goldenmist leaning against him as he moved with her, steady and sure. The calico’s weight was on him and the tom’s body was responding positively to her touch. Relishing the very opportunity to be so close to the beautiful she cat, Time wondered if it was possible he was falling for her. If that was indeed the case then so be it, he could deal with feeling like this all the time. Though it was new, it was not unwelcome. Maybe she couldn’t totally fix him, but even fixed a little would be more than worth it.
Still could he ever fully trust her? Let her in? That had always been a difficult thing for the usually confident tom. The voices inside his head led him to believe that other cats had the worst of intentions. It was maddening, never knowing exactly what another’s intentions were. Sometimes it felt like everyone was out to get him; a disapproving look could mean they thought the worst of him. Perhaps they thought him weak, unworthy to take his next breath. The charming tom nearly had to suppress a shiver at this thought. He didn’t let these thoughts unsteady him, no they would stay inside, secret. Suddenly the she-cats weight wasn’t on him anymore, Timestreak felt his heart beat erratically. Without realizing it he shoved his shoulder against her gently.
The dapper tom couldn’t imagine her leaving his side; it would be a horror if her warm pelt wasn’t brushing his. He nuzzled his face against her shoulder lovingly. Timestreak gave Goldenmist a charming smile in return. The next words came out in a soft purr. “ It was my pleasure, dear one”
His face fell a little as she suggested they both forget what had just happened. “ Goldenmist, I would never want to forget a moment spent in your company. Even if I messed up, and I know we are probably both a little embarrassed. It still was time spent with you, and that is very enjoyable. ” His mew was soft, almost pleading. The smile he gave her now was genuine, and the sapphire orbs held a different expression in their depths. “ Though I suppose it might be best not to dwell on it ” The tom dropped his head in embarrassment. “Perhaps… I should go… ” as much as it pained him to say this, at this point he was a little unsure of what to do. He was throwing out his cards without even glancing at them. This she-cat had his emotions all twisted up, confused. He shoot her a glance, wondering if she wanted him to stay. Goldenmist felt a small tremor run through her small body as she was regaining her will to stand alone without needing much of his help. However, as she was barely brushing his side with her pelt she felt his head nuzzle her shoulder ad she could feel the color return to her cheeks once more. Had he really been uncomfortable without her leaing up against him? It had only been a split second really, since she didn't want to burdon the handsom tom. She'd rather stand on her own then be a burdon, not just to him but to everyone. Still the way he was responding to her madeher wonder if he wanted her to leave his side? Maybe it was his cry for help? Perhaps in a loss for words he uses his strength on charming the she-cats and willing them to stay close to him. The tom could just be a lonly tom cat without anyone to lean on for support. She felt a tug at her heartstrings, she couldn't let that stay a possibility. She felt for this cat and she would definately let him know that.
Goldenmist responded back to his touch by leaning against the tom once more, but more in a friendly gesture than in the sort of hold me up or I'll fall sort of gesture. She had to admit, having the feel of his lovely pelt against her own made many of her fantasies come true. The day of her meeting her true love was upon her. She wouldn't miss it for the world as she started to have deep feelings for the tom in only one meeting. It had to have been fate. Starclan wanted the two cats to be together to fill each other's gaps. She had been feeling rather left out in the mate departement and she was pretty certain mow that this tom had to have been feeling rather lonely. Both cats needed one another and Goldenmist would not let him slip through her paws, even if she had already slipped through his.. in a matter of speaking of course.
She grinned back at the tom as he smiled and purred, the sound was beautiful. Her grin faultered when his face fell and he seemed to be saddened by the fact she wanted to forget about her moment of weakness, he on the other hand seemed to have other ideas. She could hear the sadness in his voice and she frowned slightly, perhaps the tom really did feel for her. If he wanted to remember every second they spent together then who was she to push them away? She was very much enjoying herself in his presence as well, shame on her for thinking she could erase any time spent with him. No.. she would remember each precious second se spent with him, the thought brought a smile to her features and she shook her head. "Forgive me for saying that then, I see I was wrong in thinking I could forget a single moment spent with you as well. I was foolish to think even in a moment's weakness that forgetting abot it would solve anything. Cat's learn from their moments of weaknesses, this should be no exception to that matter."
Her smile lit up her face as she mewed all of this, she hoped to bring his spirits back up once again. However as soon as the smile appeared it disappeared. The tom wished to leave? Was he crazy? After all this time spent with her and he wanted to leave? She looked to the sky, but it was still mid day.. later mid day yes, but there was still plenty of time to spend with him. She quickly turned to face him and took a step or two closer. She ran her face the length of his pelt as she rubbed her own against his side. "If I upset you I'm sorry, Timestreak. My mind doesn't always agree with what my mouth is saying. I should have thought about those things I said before they rolled out." Her tail flicked touching his nose lightly before she turned, her pelt was now on his pelt. Her face was now inches from his own as she stood next to him. "Please.. don't go. I wish to get to know you better." She purred in his ear.
